Why We Gather

Each Sunday, Bayview Bible Church joyfully gathers out of obedience to God's Word (Ex. 20:8-11; 1 Cor. 16:1; Acts 20:7). When we gather, our time together is centered around the Word of God and the truth he has revealed. We preach the Word. We pray the Word. We sing the Word. We see the Word (Lord's Supper and Baptism). We live the Word.

The apex of God's revelation to humanity is supremely found in Jesus Christ, second person of the Trinity. He is himself the Living Word of God and the fullness of God revealed to us (Heb. 1:1-3; Jn. 1). Therefore, all our worship must ultimately direct our thoughts and affections to Jesus and his finished work on behalf of rebellious people.

What to Expect

Our Lord's Day gatherings last for about 90 minutes. You can expect to be greeted and welcomed. We will spend time praying, reading Scripture aloud, singing, and sitting under the expositional preaching of the Bible. We will also participate in the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month. When able and appropriate, we will conduct water baptisms for new converts to faith in Jesus Christ. All teaching will reflect a reformational and credobaptist (believer's baptism) understanding of Scripture.

We offer a nursery for children up through age four. School-age children are invited and expected to join the rest of the church for the duration of the gathering.
