DON GARDNER

Elder

What Don loves most about living in North Idaho is the satisfaction of knowing that he is exactly where God wants him. Don Gardner is a staple of the community and is known both for his love for others, and his joyful spirit.

Don embraces his role as an elder by acting as a shepherd. It is not uncommon to find Don hosting folks from church and town for dinner or even to spend the night.

In his spare time, Don enjoys spending time with his precious bride, Cindy. He also loves spending time with his son Nathan, and his two precious grandchildren.

Don loves praising God through song. Some of his favorite hymns include "Old Rugged Cross" "One Day" and "No One Ever Cared for Me Like Jesus." He considers II Timothy 2:15 as his life verse.

KEN FRY

Elder

Ken 2019 Square.jpg

Ken and his wife Cecilia came to live full time in the community of Bayview, Idaho in 2018 but have been coming to the lake to sail for nearly two decades.  Ken and Cecilia have three adult children scatted across the country who regularly visit.  During the weekdays Ken spends his time working in Spokane, Washington.  In addition to sailing and reading, Ken has other hobbies including a non-profit organization that helps people learn basic money principles and budgeting practices.

One of Ken’s spiritual passions is the idea coined by Pastors D. Martyn Lloyd Jones and Paul Miller of the daily practice of Preaching the Gospel to Yourself each day.  It can be a radical start to every morning.  Ken’s favorite Bible passage is Phil. 1:12-26 where Paul expounds on "To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain".  His most favored worship song (of many) is All Glory Be to Christ. Though a newer worship song, much like the old favorites the words even without music are impactful and can stand alone.

Bayview will likely be the final place where Ken and Cecilia will live out their days.
